My mom accidentally gave the dog a Nexium,?

DON'T TRY TO INDUCE VOMITING without asking poison control or professional. They may recommend to do that..BUT it is dependent on how long along the dog got the Nexium and if it is even safe to do that with this drug. I know dogs get things like Pepcid...but Nexium is a different cl. I think dogs can take Nexium though. Do some googling....one pill will likely be ok. I think dogs take proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for ulcer prevention or treatment anyway...and Nexium is a PPI.
