Are you really as bothered about your "carbon footprint" as the government with its adverts wants to make you?

Ads telling you to keep your car tyres blown up for your "carbon footprint" sake. And to not leave your electrics on standby etc. Is it only Britain that is going crazy for this latest fad promoted by the government for increasing tax purposes (sound of Gordon rubbing hands)?
